Countless times I have walked past Optiko, glancing from a distance. Without much attention I've passed it off as a fancy technology retailer, car dealership, and swarvoski store. Every detail in this store is illuminated. Even the floor is glittery. Backwalls and displays are lit with blue and purple lights. Too rich for my blood, I thought. It wasn't until I was actually looking for an optical place, I walked into Optiko.
Browsing around, I found a good selection of brand name eyewear. They carry Chrome Hearts (which is pretty ballin since there's less than a handful of places that do). They don't carry the usual selection of brands other optical places carry. An honorable mention, is the amount of unique designer peices they stock. I can't say many places carry the wood frame Ray Bans or the Cat eye Prada frames. Simply put, most stores won't carry them for fear of them not being able to sell. What does this mean for Calgary shoppers? Limited selection, limited choices and boring standard products.

The eclectic, the unique and fashionable live here. Optiko breaks the mold for the safe and standard. Kudos for having the best selectiof of upscale designer products and ever friendly staff. I had a really good time shopping here.

I found this place strictly from the Yelp and the previous review. Needing a new Optometrist, I tried it out. The doctor was great! The selection was awesome! All the staff were super helpful and my frames arrived on time like they promised. I will certainly go again.

I will have to agree with the previous reviews. Optiko does have one of the largest selections of eyewear in the city. You don't have to head out to NYC or LA to pick up stylist designer eyewear, you will find what you are looking for at Opticko. The store is stunning and the customer service is 5 star!!!

I'm never buying sunglasses anywhere else again!

The selection is very good, they had a wide variety of brand names I like (Lacoste, Hugo Boss, Ralph Lauren), and the prices were in check with other sunglasses retailers. The customer service was really good, the girl who helped me was very nice and didn't stand over my shoulder or make me try things on I didn't like.

They were able to order in something for me that wasn't on the shelf either. Simply the best!

I had to evacuate from Fort McMurray via road. I left with the clothes on my back and the contacts in my eyes (I wear dailies). I was in dire need of contact lenses. I booked an appointment with Optiko (google search) on my drive over, for the following morning. The place had a very modern vibe to it - vibrant colors, plush seating, extensive eyewear collection, well placed counters and excellent associates.

The staff and the owners were very courteous and respectful of my situation and even waived off the doctor's checkup fee! That's class. Excellent work. Thank you!

I have been to both Sunridge and Market mall shops and they are both excellent! The staff are pleasant, polite and very knowlegeable. They have a great choice of frame choices and also do quick orders without any troubles. Thanks for the gift of good vision Optiko!
